First floor is nearly done. Four invisible speakers on the ceiling!

Network patch panels are nearly done.

The best way to end this busy year. We are delighted to pick up ITSA 2014 - The Install & Technology Solutions Award in Best International Installation category for our work in France. What makes it even better was stiff competition from some of the best UK installation companies. Thanks to all judges, and big shout to everyone involved!  See you all in Amsterdam.

AWE Cinema Room & Expo visit

Just got back from AWE Europe Expo 2014 where they introduced few new products and unveiled their new, acoustically treated, Atmos enabled, cinema room.
Room was equipped with all new Kef THX speakers (7.5.4 configuration - L/C/R + surround and surround back speakers + 4 ceiling speakers and 5 in wall sub woofers)
Nice sounding room, with tight bass, (unlike some demo rooms where bass is much louder than it should be, making whole experience quite annoying!)
Stylish interior and comfy chairs complete the picture.
All we need now is a lot of Atmos mixed Blu Ray discs !!

Home cinema - works in progress,,,

Both rooms are progressing very well and I can not wait for them to be completed. Two completely different designs - one very stylish and opulent, other one - cutting edge contemporary.
First one is large underground room at Holland Park. Ceilings are nearly ready and we are about to start with speaker wiring.

Second / inner wall layer is ready for installation of various acoustic treatment panels.
First layer behind is 300 mm thick soundproofing.

Second cinema room is smaller (also built under the garden). Concrete shell was completed recently and first layer of insulation is being installed.

Front wall drawings with screen and baffle wall behind it.

Back side of cinema room showing unique inner wall design.

Kensington Media Room & whole house AV...work in progress

We have reached ground floor and soon will be going underground for last bit of wiring. Concrete shell, of what is going to be an underground (under the garden) cinema room is ready.
Most of the equipment is bought and being tested / "burned in" at our workshop. Network switchers and W Fi access points are pre configured, URC remote control (via iPad mini) is programmed and tested with all AV equipment. At the site, top floors are all tested - Cat6 cabling and all invisible / plaster over speakers all tested and working! Six weeks to go...

Concrete shell done! Looking at front screen wall.

Love them or hate them! Can't get away from Sonos!

Master bathroom - back box for Aquavison 22" HD TV is in place.
Whole (plywood) area will be covered with large custom cut mirror from Picture Frame company.

Software was used to determine best possible Wi Fi access point positioning.

Underground home theatre - the beginning.

Just a week later platforms for cinema seating are ready!
Room is slowly shrinking in size.

After a while, cinema shell is done and walls are up. Two massive air-con units are in place. Next step - building platforms for seating and sound insulation. Room is massive, but it will lose 60 cm on each wall for insulation and acoustic treatments.

Entrance to the left and back wall with projector opening (still to be cut through)

Looking down to screen wall from top tier level. Yes, that is a workman down there...room is huge at the moment!!
